I am thrilled to invite you to a spectacular month of horse shows at the truly horse friendly Washington State Horse Park in Cle Elum. June is packed with three incredible events that promise top-notch competition, a welcoming atmosphere, and unique experiences that are the hallmark of Cascade shows. Look for our Prize List on April 22nd.

Cascade Preview (June 11–15)

Our season’s opening show (formerly, Swiftwater Invitational).

What to Expect:

  • EVERYTHING offered in a USEF Hunter Channel 1 and Jumper 2 Rated Show, plus USHJA Outreach classes across hunters and jumpers. With more prize money awarded across the board.
  • RETURNING The $5,000 Whittier Trust Welcome Prix, $1,500 USHJA National Hunt & Go 3’, $500 Voltaire Need for Speed
  • ADDED by request: USHJA Zone 9 Handy Hunter Challenge
  • PLUS many opportunities for the young horse to get a positive horse show experience including:
    • NEW Cascade Foundational Series for young horses—3 classes designed to showcase the young horse’s in-hand manners, flatwork skills, and coursework competencies
    • NEW USHJA Young Hunter Classic
  • ALWAYS that unique brand of hospitality you’ve come to know and love. Including complimentary happy hours and spotlight class dinners.
  • EDUCATIONAL and fun ringside chat with young horse specialist Marcos Arriaza

Cascade Classic (June 18–22)

Our biggest show of the season (formerly, Alpine Preview)

Featuring:

  • Increased prize money across hunters and jumpers in this USEF Hunter Channel 1 Jumper Level 3 rated show
  • Impressive jumper course designs by FEI 3* Course Designer Cristina Larangeiro with an exclusive opportunity to learn about course design from Cristina in a Ringside Chat
  • Exciting events including the $10,000 Barn Pros Grand Prix, Equidae Farms Equitation Challenge –win a safety vest, $3,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby, and the Cascade original $750 DerbyCross™
  • NEWLY ADDED:
    • Cascade Hunter Team Trials – Harkening back to the yesteryears of field hunters. Teams of 3 jump course in succession finishing over the final fence simultaneously
    • USHJA Zone 9 Handy Hunter Challenge
  • Quite possibly the most anticipated class of the season– the hip hoppin “No Joke Hold My Coke”

End the month with the Cascade Open (formerly, Pacific Crest Open). This event has been upgraded to USEF Jumper Level 3.

What you can look forward to:

  • A show tailored for every level, featuring USEF Hunter Channel 2 classes, our new Jumper Level 3 events, and full schedule of USHJA Outreach classes.
  • Thrilling prize opportunities, including our newly added $10,000 Horseware Grand Prix sponsored by The Absolute Horse
  • High-stakes challenges like the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby and Jr./Am National Hunt & Go 3’
  • Uniquely Cascade events such as the DerbyCross™ and the highly anticipated Rose All Day Amateur Classic
  • Outreach Hunters 18’ to 2’9” with three heights of Outreach Hunter Derbies. Outreach Equitation Crossrail to 2’9”, Outreach Jumpers .60m to .90m with Classics at all heights.
  • Doggone it if it isn’t the laugh out loud event of the season the Cascade Canine Derby
  • The must go must know Ringside Chat with WSU Veterinarians followed by Trivia Night
