Announcing the 2025 Cascade Show Season

December 10, 2024/in Features, News

UPDATE: The original version of this article listed the Cascade Preview as a 3-day show. It is a 5-day show. This post has been updated to reflect the correct dates and updated ratings information.

With 2025 just around the corner, you are probably wondering if this is the year we will finally get flying cars… Well, we are not holding out hope for that one, but our hopes for the 2025 show year have never been higher! 😊

With a bunch of new additions and improvements all around, Cascade is hitting the future in full stride.  Starting with the introduction of a brand-new show, higher ratings*, and streamlined show names across the season:

  • Cascade Preview | June 11-15, 2025 | USEF National Hunter (Channel I) Jumper 2*
  • Cascade Classic | June 18-22, 2025 | USEF National Hunter (Channel I) Jumper 3*
  • Cascade Open | June 25-29, 2025 | USEF Regional Hunter (Channel II) Jumper 3*
  • Cascade Finals | September 4-7, 2025 | USEF Regional Hunter (Channel II) Jumper 2*

Please bookmark these dates!

Introducing the Cascade Preview

We believe there’s an opportunity to better serve the greater Northwest hunter jumper community with young horse development. Therefore, Swiftwater Invitational (our week one show) is becoming the Cascade Preview.

The Cascade Preview is open to all horses and riders, but is uniquely focused on offering a relaxed learning environment in which young and green horses can gain exposure to competitive showing. This 5-day show has specifically designed classes, schedules, and courses—to help keep costs lean and training time efficient. And even if you are not training up a young or green horse, this show is a great opening event for our shows the following two weeks.

We are super excited about this show and look forward to working with our community to make sure this event exceeds expectations.

Improved Full Season Lineup with Spotlight Championships

The rest of our show lineup is also getting a boost. The Cascade Classic (formerly Alpine Preview) is returning with more prize money across all sections. Our Cascade Open (formerly Pacific Crest Open) is expanding to a 5-day show with a new National Hunter (Channel 1) and Jumper 3 rating*. And the Cascade Finals is coming back with additional year-end Spotlight class championships. Stay tuned for more details.

We wish you all the best for the holidays, and we are excited to see you in the not-too-distant future at the Washington State Horse Park for another fabulously fun season!

*All shows pending USEF approvals.

cascadehorseshows

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Year after year regarded as the most fun hunter jumper horse shows in the Northwest. Unique Classes. Generous Hospitality. Stunning Venue.

🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Jumper 1.1 🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Jumper 1.10 & Up Winner: FF Artur de Manillon Rider: Sadie Fletcher Owner: Lindsey Fletcher “Archer is an 8yo warmblood who we imported from the Czech about 4 years ago. He has been a pleasure to bring up through the levels of this sport, and an even bigger pleasure to spend time with outside of riding. It you were to ask me, Archer is not only my heart horse, but the sweetest, friendliest giant to exist. It you were to ask anybody else, they would probably say he’s a big goof and borderline obnoxious. With that being said, he’s proven time and time again that he’s more than willing to jump fire for me, and keep me as safe as he possibly can, which is reflected through his wins at various heights! Archer is hands down my best friend, and I cannot wait to continue our journey filled with friendship and love, together!” 📸- @vmp.equine #equitation #cascadehorseshow #circuitcup #champion #horseshow
🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Jumper Up 🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Jumper Up to 1.05 Winner: Macoco Owner/Rider: Arabella Brandt Trainer: Deisy Jimenez of Altura Hunters & Jumpers “We got Macoco fondly called Puff on Craigslist at midnight. She sat for three years in the middle of Oklahoma and was obese and severely out of shape. We brought her home in March of ‘26. I love that she loves me and she can jump the moon. She makes me work for it but rewards me with her effort. She is the best $3500 ever spent. She made my derby dreams come true, circuit champion dream and hopefully my eq dreams too.” 📸- @vmp.equine #equitation #cascadehorseshow #circuitcup #champion #horseshow
🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Hunter Up 🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Hunter Up to 2’9 Winner: Tiramisu Rider: Cayla Antonelli Owner/Trainer: Sarah Olmsted of Brass Ring Farm “The palomino pony with the enviable forelock of an Italian movie star takes the Cascade Circuit Cup Championship in the Hunter Up to 2’9 category Tiramisu or Solo as he’s known around the barn is a great pet. He loves eating peppermints or really any treat you give him. He will lick you to death if you don’t hand them over or he’ll start messing with any zippers he can get his teeth on. He knows his hair is fabulous and that everyone wants his forelock. He likes posing for pictures especially if there’s a bit of a breeze to really show the forelock off. He LOVES jumping and wishes that was all he had to do in life other than eat!!” 📸- @vmp.equine #equitation #cascadehorseshow #circuitcup #champion #horseshow
🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Hunter 3’ 🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Hunter 3’ and Up Winner: CATHMORE DU VLIST Rider/Owner: Laurel Zeeman Trainer: Jennifer Wagner-Worley of Narrows Equestrian “4th time in the Cascade Circuit Cup Championship circle. Hear me ROAR! Or not since my beloved Laurel got me the surgery! needed to help me be my bestest. Now “Bruce is so good” is engraved on my halter. Cascade Finals is always special because it marks my anniversary with Bruce each year. He was originally delivered to me after his import at CF of 2022. Bruce used to jump the big tracks in Europe (1.50m+) but developed a pretty bad roar. I can only assume his performance was suffering but I still can’t believe no one wanted to buy him. I was able to purchase him for a fraction of his value and do the surgery to enable him to breathe properly. I suppose it was a risk but I felt good doing it and have been rewarded with the greatest horse I’ve ever partnered. He loves his hunter job and gives me so much confidence when I make a mistake because at 3’-3’6” he can bail us out and not be offended. Bruce loves to gallop, leap, and play in turnout. He became a much happier horse when I got brave enough to let him be a horse (even though he could get hurt). I truly believe he loves his job, his people, his home, and his life now. It has been a privilege to compete with him these past 4 years. Our favorite classes are the Hunter derbies but we also really enjoy the performance 3’3”. My son, Porter, thinks he’s going to steal him from me in a year or two...we’ll see about that!” 📸- @vmp.equine #equitation #cascadehorseshow #circuitcup #champion #horseshow
🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Equitation 🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 Equitation Winner: Jordyn Carlson on Odyssey Trainer: Kate Sharkey of Sharkey Farms “It has been great competing at Cascade this year! I feel incredibly lucky to ride such an amazing horse who makes me feel so confident. Thank you, Kate Sharkey, for continuing to push me, always supporting me and giving me these amazing opportunities. I am so appreciative of Deisy for being so welcoming and supportive at the Finals. Thank you Cascade for another amazing year!” 📸- @vmp.equine #equitation #cascadehorseshow #circuitcup #champion #horseshow
🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 USHJA Nati 🏆 Cascade Circuit Cup 2026 Champions 🏆 USHJA National Hunter Derby Winner: Navarone Rider: Deisy Jimenez Owner: Amanda Ellis Trainer: Deisy Jimenez of Altura Hunters & Jumpers “Navarone, known as “True” around the barn was imported from Spruce Meadows. He is truly the kindest soul and is his owner Amanda Ellis’s heart horse. Don’t let his cleanup for the derbies fool you though. The dude LOVESSSS to be dirty! The only time he’s actually a grey horse is at horse shows, and the rest of the time he’s bay. True has such a bright future ahead of him, and we are so excited to see what’s in store for this special horse. Deisy is incredibly grateful to Amanda for trusting her with her heart horse and for the opportunities to ride him in the derby ring.” 💚 📸- @vmp.equine #hunterderby #cascadehorseshow #circuitcup #champion #horseshow
