Announcing the 2025 Cascade Show Season

With 2025 just around the corner, you are probably wondering if this is the year we will finally get flying cars… Well, we are not holding out hope for that one, but our hopes for the 2025 show year have never been higher! 😊

With a bunch of new additions and improvements all around, Cascade is hitting the future in full stride.  Starting with the introduction of a brand-new show, higher ratings*, and streamlined show names across the season:

  • Cascade Preview | June 11-15, 2025 | USEF National Hunter (Channel I) Jumper 2*
  • Cascade Classic | June 18-22, 2025 | USEF National Hunter (Channel I) Jumper 3*
  • Cascade Open | June 25-29, 2025 | USEF Regional Hunter (Channel II) Jumper 3*
  • Cascade Finals | September 4-7, 2025 | USEF Regional Hunter (Channel II) Jumper 2*

Introducing the Cascade Preview

We believe there’s an opportunity to better serve the greater Northwest hunter jumper community with young horse development. Therefore, Swiftwater Invitational (our week one show) is becoming the Cascade Preview.

The Cascade Preview is open to all horses and riders, but is uniquely focused on offering a relaxed learning environment in which young and green horses can gain exposure to competitive showing. This 5-day show has specifically designed classes, schedules, and courses—to help keep costs lean and training time efficient. And even if you are not training up a young or green horse, this show is a great opening event for our shows the following two weeks.

We are super excited about this show and look forward to working with our community to make sure this event exceeds expectations.

Improved Full Season Lineup with Spotlight Championships

The rest of our show lineup is also getting a boost. The Cascade Classic (formerly Alpine Preview) is returning with more prize money across all sections. Our Cascade Open (formerly Pacific Crest Open) is expanding to a 5-day show with a new National Hunter (Channel 1) and Jumper 3 rating*. And the Cascade Finals is coming back with additional year-end Spotlight class championships. Stay tuned for more details.

Each year we host the Cascade Circuit Cup Awards: season championships bestowed upon the horses accumulating the most points in one of 5 categories over our rated show circuit.

This season the competition was excellent and the winners deserving, and we are thrilled to announce our 2024 Cascade Circuit Cup Champions, along with new, expanded prizes. Drumroll please… ✨


USHJA HUNTER DERBY

It was with the utmost style and joy that this 10-year-old KWPN gelding, expertly piloted by Deisy Jimenez, captured the Cascade Circuit Cup USHJA Hunter Derby category. Congratulations to Deisy Jimenez, Reyna Stevenson, and Heidi Kauffman on this strong showing by Utmost!

CATHMORE DU VLIST
13-year-old Warmblood gelding
Owned and ridden by Laurel Zeeman
Trained by Amanda Gederman, Evolution Equestrian

This is the second win in a row in the high hunter category for Cathmore du Vlist, the 13-year-old Warmblood gelding also affectionately known as Bruce. Congratulations to Laurel Zeeman and Amanda Gelderman on Cathmore Du Vlist’s strong performance!

 

JUMPER 1.10 AND UP

FF ARTUR DE MANILLON
6-year-old Warmblood gelding
Ridden by Sadie Fletcher
Owned by Lindsey Fletcher, Flying F Stables

This season, FF Artur de Manillon, the Warmbood gelding owned by Lindsey Fletcher and ridden by daughter Sadie, rose to the top of the high jumper category. At only six years old, Artur has already accomplished so much and will surely go on to wow the crowds and bless Sadie with many more wonderful rides. Congratulations Sadie and Lindsey Fletcher on FF Artur de Manillon’s win!

Five years ago, Sahale Fox was our first ever Circuit Cup Championship recipient in the low jumper category with her legendary pony, Morton the Celebrity. This season she is back in the winner’s circle with her equally impressive Connemara mare, Tiki Bar. Congratulations Sahale Fox and Jennifer Wagner-Worley on Tiki Bar’s big win!

This little red mare may be fun-sized, but she has a king-sized jump! Expertly keeping pace all season was owner and rider Caitlin Severson as they cruised to victory in the low hunter category. Congratulations Caitlin Severson and Jennifer Wagner-Worley on Fun Size’s win!

Heading to the Finals: Cascade Circuit Cup Standings

All eyes may be on the Paris Olympics today, but soon they will be trained on our Cascade Finals show in Cle Elum, September 5-8th, waiting to see who will win “gold” in our annual Cascade Circuit Cup Championships!

Cascade Circuit Cup

The Cascade Circuit Cup awards recognize outstanding horses and riders over our entire rated show season. The awards are given to the horses accumulating the most points in each of 5 categories:

  • USHJA National Hunter Derby
    Presented by Brick Road Farms 
  • JUMPER 1.10m and Up  
  • JUMPER Up to 1.05m 
  • HUNTER 3’ and Up  
  • HUNTER Up to 2’9” 

Our season-ending show is your last oppportunity to earn Circuit Cup points, and all points earned count 1.5x!  This is the show where we tally the results and bestow accolades, big-ass ribbons, and hundreds of dollars’ worth of prizes to our annual Circuit Cup award winners. You do not want to miss it!

For the second year in a row, the Cascade Finals is designated as an official USHJA Outreach Festival. Stalls are expected to sell out again this year, so trainers, please make your stall reservations soon!

Here at Cascade Horse Shows, we are always thinking about ways to improve the showing experience.  It has been our dream for a while to provide trainers and riders with a means to keep track of various Cascade show activities throughout the season.

And now for 2024, we are excited to announce our new Cascade Competition Dashboard!

On your Competition Dashboard, you can view and track the status of:

Trainers will not only be able to view their own activities, but those of their clients as well!

Streamlining Horse Show Entries

Having a Cascade user account will also make it easier to enter horse shows through our website. In your Cascade user profile, you can optionally set up your People, Horses, and Farms. Setting up this information in advance will make it easier to fill out horse show entries, particularly for trainers who have multiple horses and riders.

2024 Stall, RV Site and Golf Cart Requests to Open April 6th

Get ready for another thrilling season of showjumping and hunter competition at the beautiful Washington State Horse Park in Cle Elum!

Cascade Horse Shows is pleased to announce that stall reservations for our 2024 horse shows will open by 9:00 am Saturday, April 6th!  RV site and golf cart requests open at the same time. Prize lists and entries will be available on or after April 17th.

This season we are bringing you even more great USEF-rated and Cascade Spotlight classes, delivered with the famous hospitality and family-friendly vibe that Cascade shows are known for. And like last year, our 2024 Pacific Crest Open and Cascade Finals shows will feature exciting USHJA Outreach and Outreach Festival competition.

Reminder: Cascade horse shows are approved by the Washington State Hunter Jumper Association (WSHJA) and the Oregon Hunter Jumper Association (OHJA). All WSHJA and OSHJA members may earn annual awards points when competing at Cascade events.
